Once these pests eat it, they will take it back to their colony and then will die. Be cautious if you have kids and pets in your house. In that case, make a diluted concoction of boric acid and water and then spray it on the infested places. Try not to inhale boric acid as it is harmful to the lungs. Boric acid is an inexpensive, simple and readily available household cleaner that can help remove you of all pests. Boric acid will not only kill the silverfishes, they will help kill their eggs as well, preventing any further infestation.

You can spray it in your bathroom, in your sink and gutters and cracks and crevices where there might be a possibility of silverfish infestation.

6. NAPHTHALENE BALLS

Naphthalene balls have been in use since forever. This is the most common tactic to drive away bugs and pests and stop them from ruining your clothes.
