DECK INSTALLATION & REPAIR
Whether it is building a new deck or replacing an old one, our contractors work carefully to expand your living space. We are more than just deck builders; think of us as your creative partners. Together, we’ll plan the perfect deck for your home. If you have further questions, feel free to give us a call!
We offer these decking materials:
- Pressure treated wood
- Redwoods and cedar
- Composites and vinyl
Your deck or patio should provide years of enjoyment – but the elements can wear away its finish, creating cracks, deck rot, and other problems. When that happens, you need dependable deck repair services to restore your deck’s beauty and keep it looking great for years to come.
WOOD OR COMPOSITE DECKING?
While it is a matter of preference, ask yourself some questions. Will I regularly maintain my deck? Do I want a one-and-done and not even think about it after installing?
Composite decks require very little maintenance and are resistant to moisture and insects. Since they are made from plastics, their colors won’t fade. They don’t split, so you won’t have to worry about splinters in your feet. They do not require power washing or annual restaining.
Wood, on the other hand, takes a bit more care. Whether it is pressure treated lumber, cedar, or tropical hardwoods, all lumber must go through regular power washing and annual restaining. However, there is something to be said for the look and feel of real wood.
NEED HELP WITH DECK IDEAS?
While we are more than happy to work with you to decide a deck plan, read below for a description of each deck type. We hope it informs any deck design ideas you may have!
The Deck Types we offer:
- Island / Detached
- Pool / Spa
- Dining / Gazebo
We specialize in designing and building all types of decks, no job is too big or too small for us. Our design descriptions are below:
An attached deck is much like a patio, except it is made of wood or wood composite decking materials and is slightly raised. The most common place to attach a deck is at the back of a house.
ISLAND / DETACHED
An island (or detached) deck is not directly attached to the house but is often easily accessible via a walkway or steps. Unlike a concrete patio, which has to be built over even ground, an island deck can be constructed on almost any type of terrain, even or uneven.
Similar to a wraparound porch, a wrap-around deck can be larger, more uneven, and more room like. They are slightly elevated, and they extend living space while giving you both sunny and shady portions of the deck, so you have options of where you’d like to spend your time.
Most popular with large houses, multilevel decks are actually series of decks connected by stairs or walkways. This is the perfect solution for sharp changes in elevation or terrain. It’s also a popular option for houses on slopes near lakes or other bodies of water.
Side-yards are often the forsaken part of a home, but you can install a deck there, too. You can make it a private spot for personal relaxation, or you can add more style to your exterior by putting plants or a table in this area. You could even throw a hot tub out there. More space to add your personality!
POOL / SPA
Decking is a very smart option around a pool because of its slip resistance. Also, your family and friends won’t burn their feet and can relax with ease. Besides being easier on the feet, a pool deck adds more space for hanging out around the pool, so those not swimming can spend some time reading, tanning, or enjoying other lawn activities.
An entryway deck is like a porch, but parts of it are left uncovered. You can add built-in planters boxes or benches to give the entrance to your house some warmth. This deck can be as simple as a few connected platforms leading up to your home, or as elaborate as an outdoor room that welcomes guests into the house.
DINING / GAZEBO
Now you can have the perfect place to have a meal outside when the weather is equally as perfect. Make a Gazebo outdoor dining deck an extension of your dining room or kitchen and add a grill, bar, counter, or additional cooking space.
