Why did the customer contact us?

The customer needed new attic insulation.

Solutions provided:

Remove all of the blown in fiberglass insulation. Air seal all gaps and conduit lines with spray foam insulation. Install new baffles at the soffit lines, hvac unit, and around the entry point. Insulate the entry door with foam board insulation and install weather stripping at the entry point. Blow in new cellulose insulation to reach levels of 14 inches

Left side bathroom fan vents into the attic space. Remove old flex line and install an insulated flex line. Run that new flex line to the left side of the home. Install a exhaust vent through the siding and secure the new flex line to the new vent. Install a bird guard to protect from birds nesting. $700

Radiant barrier
Install diamond reflective radiant barrier along the roof rafters sub roofing to reflect the heat from the roof away from the attic space. Will not hinder the ventilation from the soffit lines.

Install one solar powered attic fan on the roof. A hold will be cut through the roof to properly install the new attic fan. New solar attic fan will be equipped with a thermostat and humidistat. After fan is installed roof will be properly sealed to prevent leaks.
