Why did the customer contact us?

The customer needed new attic insulation.

Solutions provided:

Remove all accessible batted fiberglass insulation in main attic space. Sterifab to disinfect due to past squirrel activity. Install can light covers over recess lights. Air seal any crack, gap, and conduit line with spray foam for better energy efficiency. Baffle around hvac unit. Install attic tent over entry point for better energy efficiency. Blow in new cellulose insulation to R49 (14 inches). Install 223 vents on roof indicated by technician. Run two bathroom fans to each vent. Each bathroom fan will have an insulated 3 inch flex line connected to the fan itself and ran to the vent through the roof for proper ventilation. Breezeway insulation: Blow over existing insulation to reach levels of R49 (14 inches). Install one solar attic fan on front left of home with a RVG to protect from entry of squirrels. One electric powered attic fan will be installed on backside of home where original fan and electrical are located. One RVG will be installed after installation to prevent entry of squirrels. If shingles are needed summit will use Tamko architectural shingle rustic slate to match existing roof as best as possible.
