Animal control services we offer in Fredericksburg, VA include:
There are 16 species of bats in Virginia. Four (Gray Bat, Indiana Bat, Virginia-Big-eared Bat, and Rafinesque’s Big-eared Bat) are protected as endangered species, but 12 are not. None of the three types of bats most likely to take residence in a building (Big Brown Bat, Evening Bat, and Little Brown Bat) are protected species. Let us remove your unwanted bats, regardless of species.
Raccoons are one of the most common nuisance animals in Northern Virginia and won’t hesitate to take up residence in attics, chimneys, crawl spaces, barns, etc. A thumping or stomping noise in your attic is a common sign of a raccoon infestation. It is essential to remove them and relocate them far away, because they often rip open ducts, chew on electrical wiring, contaminate, tear and even destroy insulation.
Squirrels are not shy about taking up residence in your attic, especially during the winter, and can cause a great deal of damage while there. Their nesting sites turn into toxic messes because cleaning up squirrel feces presents a health hazard. Flying squirrels require different trapping techniques and are harder to get rid of, but SES can remove all types of squirrels from your home.
When you see a snake regularly on your property, you’ll want to have it removed because it probably has built a den in your crawl space on in a nearby area where it can access your home for warmth. If you’ve got a snake inside your house, don't try to catch it because of the danger of a snake bite. Instead, call SES. Our specialists are trained to humanely catch and remove troublesome snakes from homes and properties.
Skunks carry rabies and emit a foul-smelling spray. You don't want them in your home and you should not try to trap them yourself. Instead, SES' wildlife control specialists are trained to humanely catch and remove troublesome skunks from homes and attics.
Our animal removal crews are available on a 24/7/365 basis! All the repair work done by our trained repair technicians is guaranteed for 12 months. If you call SES to have a technician reinspect the work before the end of 12 months, we will guarantee it for an additional year!

The mosquitoes in my backyard have been unbearable the last few summers. My husband and I called Summit to come out and do a mosquito treatment. Brian has been so kind, caring, and attentive! Even through re-scheduling appointments due to inclement weather, Brian and the rest of the team at Summit have been on top of it and professional. It’s been so wonderful to be able use my back deck again without having to coat myself in bug spray and light a million citronella candles. We have a bunch of friends coming over for the 4th of July and I don’t have to be embarrassed or worry about them getting chewed up by mosquitoes! Thank you, Summit!! I will certainly continue to recommend Summit’s services to any and everyone that I can!

After our home was unfortunately damaged due to a fire, we called Summit to help us out and they sure did great! I wanted them to restore everything in my house that was damaged by the fire and they agreed. Throughout the process, Summit's team went above and beyond starting with the Demolition and making sure no further damage occurred, such as pipes freezing and boarding up windows, which was all done after business hours. Not only did Summit do an amazing job on the restoration of my home, but also cleaning the home and making sure it was safe.
The crew was very respectful in our home clearing out our personal items and communicative. Same with the office staff, always picked up the phone quickly, pleasure to work with the office staff.
From Attic to Basement, Summit saved my home! Will definitely be recommending Summit to everyone in the future. Thanks!

An amazing team of caring individuals that go far and beyond anything that should be expected. They helped my neighbor that had fallen off his ladder get into his house. His wife took him to the hospital while I stayed with his mother until her daughter got there. This left the team alone in home to completed their job. This team is an example of the high standard that each of us to strive for in ourselves for honesty, integrity, compassion and professionalism ; and one that is rarely seen. Thank-you Summit for creating an amazing team of individuals that provided far more than a high quality work for the job; they demonstrated a high quality of personal character in their caring actions towards others; restoring my faith in humanity. Thank you for the opportunity to witness this. This added a far greater value to the completed work that was done as the service provide was of much greater worth to us.

We had our basement fully encapsulated this summer (an unanticipated repair, one month after purchasing our home!). Summit was amazing to deal with from the beginning. Tim provided an honest assessment and did not try to make us purchase unnecessary products. Straightforward pricing, reliability, and great workmanship. We're grateful to Tim and his team for making an unexpected repair as seamless as possible.

Project: Install or Upgrade Blown-In Insulation
Comments: They did an excellent job. They showed up when they said they would. We were to have attic insulation one day and crawlspace the next, but the crawl space people finished another job early and came and did the crawl space insulation.

Blow cellulose insulation into the attic space above the bedroom over the garage. Currently has fiberglass batted insulation. Summit will add approx 8-10” of blown in cellulose insulation on top of the fiberglass batts to raise the R value to above R-49 (current code).
In addition Summit will rake and evenly spread the existing attic insulation in the main attic area of the home.
Summit will drill a drywall plus out of each stud bay in the front exterior wall of the garage. We will then insert the insulation blower hose in the space and dense pack the stud bay with cellulose insulation.
After filling each stud bay as much as possible Summit will replace the drywall plugs and install one coat of drywall compound to each patch. Price does not include finishing the drywall or painting.
Summit will push back the existing insulation in the attic of the home to locate all accessible ceiling penetrations. We will then seal all accessible gaps with foam insulation to prevent air leakage from the conditioned living space below.
After air sealing the technicians will rake the existing insulation back into place.
