Bat Removal

There are 16 species of bats in Virginia. Four (Gray Bat, Indiana Bat, Virginia-Big-eared Bat, and Rafinesque’s Big-eared Bat) are protected as endangered species, but 12 are not. None of the three types of bats most likely to take residence in a building (Big Brown Bat, Evening Bat, and Little Brown Bat) are protected species. Let us remove your unwanted bats, regardless of species.

Raccoon Removal

Raccoons are one of the most common nuisance animals in Northern Virginia and won’t hesitate to take up residence in attics, chimneys, crawl spaces, barns, etc. A thumping or stomping noise in your attic is a common sign of a raccoon infestation. It is essential to remove them and relocate them far away, because they often rip open ducts, chew on electrical wiring, contaminate, tear and even destroy insulation.

Squirrel Removal

Squirrels are not shy about taking up residence in your attic, especially during the winter, and can cause a great deal of damage while there. Their nesting sites turn into toxic messes because cleaning up squirrel feces presents a health hazard. Flying squirrels require different trapping techniques and are harder to get rid of, but SES can remove all types of squirrels from your home.

Snake Removal

When you see a snake regularly on your property, you’ll want to have it removed because it probably has built a den in your crawl space on in a nearby area where it can access your home for warmth. If you’ve got a snake inside your house, don't try to catch it because of the danger of a snake bite. Instead, call SES. Our specialists are trained to humanely catch and remove troublesome snakes from homes and properties.

Skunk Removal

Skunks carry rabies and emit a foul-smelling spray. You don't want them in your home and you should not try to trap them yourself. Instead, SES' wildlife control specialists are trained to humanely catch and remove troublesome skunks from homes and attics.

Our animal removal crews are available on a 24/7/365 basis! All the repair work done by our trained repair technicians is guaranteed for 12 months. If you call SES to have a technician reinspect the work before the end of 12 months, we will guarantee it for an additional year!

I highly recommend Summit Environmental Solutions. I contacted the company about removing a squirrel that had gained entry to the top of my home by chewing through wood. The company sent Mr. Thomas Yendall, Senior Inspector, to assess the issue and provide a course of action to remedy the situation. He was courteous and professional and answered all of my questions. He is a real asset to the company! The company provided a good quote and followed up by email and phone after Mr. Yendall's visit.
I highly recommend this company for all of your pest control issues. They provide great service!

Existing insulation to be removed by a different company prior to summit installing the new insulation. Sterifab to disinfect the entire attic space. Air seal any gaps and conduit lines with spray foam for energy efficiency. Insulate the entry door with foam board and install weather stripping around the entry point. Install new baffles at the soffit lines and around the entry point. Blow in new cellulose insulation to reach levels of 14 inches (R49). Remove the old attic fan and replace with a new attic fan with both thermostat and a humidistat. Install an roof vent guard (RVG) over the attic fan to prevent entry of animals into the attic space. While crew is on the roof the front metal exhaust vent gap will be nailed down and sealed with roofing caulk. Install new shingled ridge vent along the top apex of the roof. Remove both small soffit strips on the front and rear of the home. Replace with new soffit strips. Replace section of front decorative trim board that has becomes warped. Paint with color to match existing as best as possible. Seal the bottom side/gap on both firewall metal caps to prevent entry of bats into the attic space. Bat droppings we’re seen in the attic space. Is a possibility that bats entered within through the front gap on the decorative trim board, gap on the exhaust vent, or gaps at the firewall metal cap.
